Terms & Conditions

Agreement to terms

By accessing this website or engaging the services of Moksha Relational Therapy, you agree to the terms set out below. These terms apply to all clients, prospective clients, and website visitors. Moksha Relational Therapy reserves the right to amend these terms at any time. Continued use of the website or services following any amendment constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Therapeutic services

Therapeutic services are provided by Prakash, a PACFA Clinical Counsellor. Services are provided within the scope of a clinical counsellor and are not a substitute for medical, psychiatric, or emergency mental health services. Accessing these services does not constitute a medical consultation and does not establish a medical relationship.

Therapeutic services are provided subject to a formal client agreement, which is provided at the commencement of the therapeutic relationship. The client agreement sets out the specific terms of service, confidentiality, and consent applicable to your engagement with the practice.

Fees and payment

Current session fees are available upon request and are confirmed at the time of booking. Fees are subject to change with reasonable notice. Payment is due at the time of the session unless a prior arrangement has been made. Moksha Relational Therapy accepts payment via methods confirmed at the time of booking.

Services provided by PACFA clinical counsellors are not Medicare rebatable. Some private health insurers provide rebates for counselling services — eligibility should be confirmed with your insurer directly before your first session.

Cancellation and missed appointment policy

A minimum of 24 hours notice is required to cancel or reschedule a session. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice, or failure to attend a scheduled session without prior notice, will incur a cancellation fee equivalent to 50% of the standard session fee.

Cancellations made with less than 4 hours notice, or non-attendance without notice, may be charged the full session fee.

Exceptions may be made at the practitioner’s discretion in the case of genuine emergencies. Repeated late cancellations or non-attendance may result in the termination of the therapeutic relationship.

Limits of service

Moksha Relational Therapy does not provide crisis intervention, acute psychiatric support, or medico-legal assessments. The practice does not offer after-hours support. Between sessions, clients experiencing a mental health crisis are directed to emergency services (000), Lifeline (13 11 14), or other appropriate crisis support services.

Complaints and feedback

Moksha Relational Therapy is committed to providing ethical and competent professional services. If you have a concern about the service you have received, we encourage you to raise it directly with the practitioner in the first instance. If you do not feel comfortable doing so, or if your concern is not resolved to your satisfaction, you may contact PACFA’s complaints process at pacfa.org.au.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Australian Capital Territory and the Commonwealth of Australia. Any disputes arising from these terms or from the provision of services will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the ACT.
